From parents who have been
- Snoopy's Home Ice is cold even though it's indoors. Several parents and reviewers say to bundle kids up like you're going outside. Marin Mommies
- Beginners can borrow free buckets to push during public skate. For very small kids, Parent & Puppy Practice has chairs and a group lesson with rentals included. Toddlers on Ice (18 months to 4 years) runs on Wednesdays. Marin Mommies
- Part of the rink is a beginner area marked with colored dots. Weekend sessions get loud and crowded. Weekday and evening sessions are cheaper ($8-10 plus $2 rental, vs $12-14 plus $4 on weekends). KQED
- The Warm Puppy Café has a fireplace and windows over the ice, so non-skaters can watch with a Peanuts-named hot chocolate. Schulz's corner table is still kept reserved for him. It gets crowded at peak times. KQED
- Staff skate the ice and help nervous first-timers. Reviewers say to check the public session schedule online first, since weekend admission is sold in person only. Wanderlog reviews
- You can skip driving: take the SMART train to Santa Rosa North station. The rink is about a 10-minute walk from there. Marin Mommies
