Tips from parents
- Park hours are 8am to sunset. The park page doesn't give a closing time, so check the sunset time for your visit.
- Bring warm layers. The page describes the weather as consistently cool, and the water is too cold and has too many rip currents for swimming, according to the park brochure.
- Dogs are not allowed on the beach.
- The beach has several access points, including Francis, Venice, Dunes and Roosevelt. Francis Beach is at the end of Kelly Avenue and has picnic tables and barbecues overlooking the sand. Restrooms are next to the parking areas.
Hours change. Check the website before you go.
