- There is a paved ramp down to the sand, and a beach wheelchair is available to borrow. Call (650) 726-8820 to ask about it.
- The day-use area has a large picnic area with barbecues, restrooms with running water and outdoor rinse showers. It works well for a family lunch.
- The small visitor center on site is free. It is open Saturdays and Sundays, depending on weather and volunteers, and has displays about the park's ecology and history.
- There are no lifeguards, and the water is cold. Bring layers and keep kids close to the shore.
