Tips from parents
- The beach's own parking lot and restrooms are closed. Park at Dunes Beach (end of Young Ave) and walk north along the sand or the old access road.
- It is usually much quieter than the other Half Moon Bay beaches, which suits kids who like space to dig and run.
- The ocean can be unpredictable, so keep little ones back from the waves and check the weather service beach advisories before you go.
- Dogs are not allowed on the beach. Bring your own water and snacks, and expect a bathroom stop at Dunes Beach.
