Tips from parents
- Park at the Ohlone College entrance. It is easier on weekends and the climb is more gradual. The Stanford Ave lot is small and very crowded on weekends.
- The full summit hike is a long, steep climb of several hours. Little kids will enjoy a shorter out-and-back walk on the lower trail more.
- Bring plenty of water and sun protection. There is little shade on the trail.
- Park hours are strictly enforced. Leave in time to be out of the preserve and the lot before closing.
