Visit the Elsie Roemer Bird Sanctuary on Crown Beach and look for the shorebirds and waterbirds that return to these Bay shores each fall. Watch them probe, sift and snatch food from the water, sand, mud and rocks with their finely shaped bills. Borrow binoculars on site and learn as you go. Beginners are welcome; heavy rain cancels.
